Jason was born in Hong Kong in 1985. He moved to Toronto, Canada with his family in 1998. He participated in the Royal Canadian Air Cadets as a teenager to pursue his interest in aviation and airplanes.
After graduating from York University in 2008, Jason entered the workforce and was hired as a merchandiser by a watch company in Hong Kong. Jason had visited over 300 watch factories in China and had extensive knowledge of the watch industry. He found that most factories had a very complete assembly line but lacked product development capabilities. He often suggests and exchanges new design ideas with the factories.
In 2011, Jason took his chance and built his own watch
brand called “INFANTRY”.
The Infantry brand was inspired by his passion for military history and aircraft, which he experienced during his years in the Air Cadets. He wanted to express his interest in military history and aircraft through watches. Infantry made the aviation watch its main design theme.
In its early years, Infantry enjoyed tremendous success on the D2C e-commerce platform, offering aviation-inspired quartz watches at a price that was affordable. In 2019, Infantry launched the INFANTRY REVOLUTION series , expanding its product range from quartz to automatic watches, taking the brand to the next level.
Infantry currently has distribution channels in over 40 countries and has sold over one million watches worldwide with countless satisfied customers.
