After I had my son Sky, I started seeing themes for kids’ shirts in my head. A mix of old school and modern themes played off one another regularly. Alongside these early seeds of thought, I noticed a significant resurgence of ’80s and ’90s nostalgia shows. It brought me back to the things I loved in my childhood and hoped to share with my son. II brought this new energy to my designs, taught myself to draw, and learned to develop these prototypical designs to bring the world in my head to life. I obsessed over typography, colors, fabrics, and the emotional reaction I wanted the shirt to create in people.
